THE SOUL FOOD FESTIVAL
The Soul Food Festival is an inviting event that
highlights the aroma of traditional soul food cooking in the air
while bringing together families & friends in an outdoor social
setting for a day of reunion and live national award winning
entertainment. The festival is presented by The Kinfolks
Foundations, Inc. a nonprofit 501 (c) 3 organization whose objective
is to support learning environments and career development for under
privileged youths and young adults. Learning environments are
important for under privileged youths and young adults alike.
These organizations provide a positive
and safe environment where these young people can come and get the
additional tutoring and career education they need in order to stay
competitive with today’s society.
The nature of the organizations are to
conduct educational classes for those deficient in basic English
techniques, to conduct career development classes in basic job
acquisition techniques and to serve as an information center in the
arts for the general community. The revenues are used to purchase
educational materials, fund career development workshops, purchase
musical instruments and travel cost for students, among other
numerous expenses.
The Kinfolks Foundation is a
subsidiary of Kinfolks Records who creates, produces, distributes
and sells music for the purpose of funding The Kinfolks Foundation,
Inc. The Soul Food Festival concept was created to use as a platform
to introduce this new music.
The method of the promotion is to
present National Award Winning Entertainment at low ticket pricing
in order to reach the capacity of the venue which in turn guarantees
an audience for which we can sell music.
With expenses in excess of $250,000 per
event, the success of The Soul Food Festival has always been
contingent on Sponsors, Media Partners and Donations. Such
Participation brings the Kinfolks Foundation closer to their goal of
breaking even, while introducing and selling music to the audience. Your participation in this stellar event will
provide a wholesome, recreational & cultural experience while
motivating the mind, body and soul with music, food & positive
dialogue. The Soul Food Festival is sure to evoke a spirit of love,
unity and memories that will resonate within the souls of all those
who attend thus transferring inspirational enhancement back to the
